LuxBMX – Nothing’s ever too much trouble for Mitch and Evan at Lux. They deal in new school rides, but are always more than happy to get in old-school parts if they can (or lend a hex-key when you’re out and about and your stem comes loose!). Killer show room, even if you’re not into new school, the vibe is rad.
Crossley Cycles in Manly, QLD (25min from Brisbane city) are a local #BNEBMX institution and have been supporting local BMX riders since the 80s . They’re known for their great service and have a great workshop for the ultimate dial-in.

Don and the team at Oxley Cycles on Brisbane’s south side are Old School BMX experts. They have a great selection of old school bits and pieces as well as new school bikes and gear. If they haven’t got what you need in stock they’re happy to try and find it for you. Great service!
One of Brisbane’s oldest cycleries, renowned for their old school service and treasure trove of vintage and obscure parts. Among others bits ‘n’ pieces they have genuine Skyway 24tpi and 26tpi axle cones, complete axle rebuild kits and other rare old school gems.

Griffin Engraving – Custom aluminium engraving and anodising – if you can imagine it, Julian can likely engrave it! Re-anodise your old school parts to breath new life into your restoration. If you’ve over-polished your parts and removed the brand stamp, or if you’re after a custom engraved head tube badge or custom engraving on a part for a special build, Griffin Engraving is where it’s at.
Patterson Performance are performance car mechanics and machinists with great old school service. They have a machine shop in Alderly, Brisbane. If you need threads cut, changed, or cleaned up these guys are awesome. They changed the imperial threads on some Hutch Excel pegs to suit the metric bosses on my Healing Freestyler forks and did a great job. Nothing’s too much trouble and no job’s too small.
Hailing from the UK, BMXMAN specialises in producing old school sticker kits for bikes from the 80’s, he has an extensive collection of Raleigh decals along with other brands and models.
The place to go for licensed GT and Skyway decals. Some other cool bits and pieces too.

AJK Bikes is the place to go for old school Redline freestyle decal reproductions. AJK also offers a few parts, magazines and bikes for sale on the site.
41 Thirty offers a selection of school decal reproductions, both full sets for frames (Patterson, Robinson, Race Inc, Nomura etc) and also single decals for individual parts restoration. Not the best at replying to emails, and be prepared to wait a while for your order (ie. 4-6weeks), but quality’s good.

Benny’s polishing and anodising services are the best around and he specialises in refinishing aluminium OS BMX parts (rims, stems, cranks, calipers, pedal cages, seat clamps etc). He doesn’t have a website, but you can call him on +61(0)432036826 for prices and to discuss your projects.
Pony Bikes – If you’re in Melbourne and want a custom build put together but don’t have the will or the no-how to go DIY, get on to Sasha. She’s a master at custom bike builds in any and every style – OS BMX, road, track, vintage, dragster, you name it… she can build it. Her attention to detail is second to none. Hit Pony Bikes up for frame repairs and custom chainrings too.
Stanridge Speed is the creation of Adam Elridge, madly talented bike designer and builder and all round awesome guy from Columbus, Ohio. His design and fabrication skills, creativity and attention to detail will blow you away.
Josie is an artist, designer and bike lover from Rhode Island in the USA. She does beautiful painted detailing for bicycle frames, head tube badge design and typography.

Cycle EXIF – Run by photographer Adam Leddin of Sydney, this site offers a dose of the coolest bicycles with an emphasis on design and great photography.
